About

The hand behind the work.

I'm Tom, a neo-traditional tattoo artist based in Brisbane. I work in bold, saturated colour and strong black line, with a soft spot for the ornamental: snarling beasts and big cats, insects and snakes, roses and botanicals, and framed cameo portraits. Most of it is large-scale, full sleeves and leg pieces drawn to wrap and live with the body, in colour or black and grey.

Every piece is custom, built around your idea and made to still read in twenty years. I take on cover-ups and reworks, and always sit down for a consultation before any needle touches skin. I guest across a few studios around Brisbane and keep to a handful of projects at a time, so each one gets proper attention. Enquire and I'll let you know where I'm working next.

Drawn to be worn, and to still look right in twenty years.

Questions

What people usually ask.

Where are you based?
I'm based in Brisbane and work as a guest artist across a few studios around the city, so the studio depends on when we book. I'll let you know where I'm working once we lock in a date.
Do you tattoo in colour or black and grey?
Both. Most of my work is bold, saturated colour, but I also do black and grey, especially for portraits and ornamental pieces.
Do you do cover-ups?
Yes, I take on cover-ups and reworks. Send a clear photo of the existing tattoo with your enquiry and I'll let you know what's possible.
How big do you usually work?
I love large-scale work, full sleeves and leg pieces drawn to wrap with the body, but I'm happy to talk through smaller custom pieces too.
How do deposits work?
Once we have agreed on the design and a date, a deposit secures your spot and comes off the final price. The balance is paid in person on the day.
How do I book?
Send an enquiry through the form with your idea, placement, rough size and any reference. I'll be in touch about a quote and an available date.
